Are they robust enough for heavy industrial use?

Yes. After four years of product development, we found that the mild steel used in our “Heated” Anti-Fatigue Mats offers the perfect balance of weight and strength. Many of our customers operate in industrial or warehouse environments, so the double-layered mild steel edges provide a robust perimeter for extra protection.

Beneath the base, durable rubber feet enhance stability and safeguard the surface below. Additionally, x23 M4 screws secure the upper and lower metal layers around the edge, ensuring all components remain firmly in place.

What safety credentials do you have for industrial work environments?

WarmTronics is fully accredited by TÜV Rheinland. We have completed Safety, EMC, and RoHS testing in both UK and European laboratories to ensure full compliance with safety standards.

Our Gen3 Heated Anti-fatigue Mat consumes just 206 Watts/h and runs at ~1.37 Amps. This has been independently verified by Exeter University (research paper available on request).

The product has been designed to operate at low voltage (48V), which is well below the HSE recommended maximum of 110V for electrical equipment.

With no exposed electrical heating elements and a maximum regulated temperature of 60 °C, our portable heater greatly reduces fire risks when compared to traditional fan or radiant heaters, which operate between 400 °C and 1500 °C.

At just 25mm high, the WarmTronics Gen3 is not considered a trip hazard under HSE guidelines.

How much would the "Heated" Anti-Fatigue Mat cost in electricity for an industrial site running from 9am to 5pm?

£0.51 per day.

Note: The calculation assumes the “Heated” Anti-Fatigue Mat operates for 8 hours daily and the electricity rate is £0.30 per kWh. During the 8-hour operational period, we estimate that the electricity usage is 0.336 kWh for the initial half hour before the “Heated” Anti-Fatigue Mat reaches 60°C. Subsequently, the cycling mechanism triggers, and electricity usage drops to 0.206 kWh for the remaining seven and a half hours. Energy costs are therefore approximately £0.51 per day based on the following calculation: £0.30 * (0.336 * 0.5 + 0.206 * 7.5) = £0.51

How warm to they get in a cold factory or warehouse?

There are three heat settings. Low: 35-40°C, Medium: 44-50°C, and High: 55-60°C. Each Heated Anti-Fatigue Mat has its own control, meaning users can choose their own preferred temperature,

Will multiple mats turned on simultaneously trip the electrics?

Our Heated Anti-Fatigue Mats draw only ~1.37 Amps, which is significantly lower than other Portable Heaters often used in Warehouses (typically circa ~8 Amps). This significantly reduces the risk of tripping electrics, even when dozens or hundreds of units are turned on and used simultaneously in the warehouse.

Is it UK-made?

Yes, our Heated Anti-fatigue Mat product is designed and made in the UK. We originally developed the flagship product in Leeds, with support from product and electronics design teams in North and East Yorkshire. We now manufacture 1000’s of units each year in Southampton. Keeping production in the UK gives us full control over quality, lead times, and the premium standard our customers expect.

Does it need professional installation?

No. The Heated Anti-Fatigue Mat is a “Plug & Play” portable solution that requires no professional installation. Users can easily set it up and begin using it immediately.
